Unfair labor complaint filed against Notre Dame over athletes

An unfair labour ailment has been filed against the University of Notre Dame for classifying assemblage athletes arsenic “student-athletes.”

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- An unfair labour ailment was filed Thursday against the University of Notre Dame for classifying assemblage athletes arsenic “student-athletes.”

The ailment was filed with the National Labor Relations Board by a California-based radical calling itself the College Basketball Players Association. It said Notre Dame is engaging successful unfair labour practices arsenic defined by the National Labor Relations Act.

The ailment is akin to 1 filed against University of Southern California past May by the NLRB’s Los Angeles bureau alleging players connected USC’s football and men’s and women’s basketball teams are employees and not “student-athletes” wrong the meaning of the National Labor Relations Act.

A telephone connection and an email seeking remark connected the ailment was near Thursday evening with a spokesperson for the university.
